I recently spent a weekend at the Hilton Leicester Hotel with my family. The check-in process was seamless and the room was spacious, accommodating our needs perfectly. However, there were a few disappointments, especially regarding the leisure facilities. The pool was unexpectedly closed for maintenance on Saturday, which was frustrating given that it was a key reason for our stay.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and clean, with a nice touch of towel decorations and sweets. But I noticed that it lacked some amenities like a mini fridge that are common in similar hotels.
Service
6.0
Staff were mostly polite and attentive, explaining details about our room and checking on our needs. Still, the leisure facility staff seemed overly strict about health and safety protocols, which made for an uncomfortable experience at times.
Location
7.0
The hotel is conveniently located near the city center, which made it easy for us to explore. However, I wish I had known about the pool being open to the public prior to our visit.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast each morning was a highlight, with a great variety of options and excellent service from attentive staff. Unfortunately, the dining experience otherwise fell a bit flat with some areas feeling neglected.
Facilities
5.0
The leisure facilities were modern and clean, which I appreciated. But the overzealous health and safety approach, coupled with the unexpected pool closure, detracted from the overall experience.

My stay at Hilton Leicester had its ups and downs. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to assist, which I appreciated. However, the room was quite outdated and could use some renovations, with several issues I encountered like weak shower pressure and cleanliness that weren't up to par. The hotel's location was convenient for my needs, making it easy to access nearby attractions and shops.

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious but felt really dated, with some fixtures needing a serious update. I even found some rust on the taps and had trouble with the shower pressure. Definitely not what I expected for a Hilton.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially the reception team. They were quick to assist with my requests, which made my overall experience a bit better, despite the issues.
Location
8.0
The location was super convenient, about 10-15 mins from the city center, which made things easy for me. It was also close to shops, so that was a plus.
Dining
7.0
I found the dining experience to be good, especially the breakfast spread. The restaurant's food was tasty and had a decent variety that catered to different tastes.
Facilities
5.0
The leisure facilities, like the swimming pool, were nice and added a relaxing touch to my stay. However, I'd say the overall state of the hotel could benefit from some upgrades.

6.8/10

I had a mixed experience at the Hilton Leicester Hotel. On the one hand, the staff provided excellent service and the breakfast was superb, with a variety of options. However, I faced issues like cold towels and high prices for basic amenities, which left me disappointed. The atmosphere felt more suited for families than adults seeking a quiet getaway.

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious and clean, but dated. There were not enough surfaces to place items like tea/coffee and laptops, which made things feel cluttered. Additionally, I could hear noise from adjoining rooms, which was concerning for privacy.
Service
5.0
While the staff were mostly friendly and efficient, including noteworthy service by individuals like Danielle and Sarah, there were moments where the staff seemed indifferent, such as when room service mishaps occurred.
Location
6.0
The location was convenient, near the M1 and local shops, making it easy to explore Leicester. However, being on the outskirts meant less walking options, especially at night.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of items. However, I was disappointed by the hot buffet later in my stay, as it only featured cold sandwiches when I arrived.
Facilities
5.0
The pool and leisure facilities were well-maintained but the lack of adult-only times in the pool and issues with heating hampered the experience. I also found the charge for parking a bit silly given the hotel's location.

My stay at the Hilton Leicester Hotel had some ups and downs. The staff were generally polite and responsive, particularly noted for their willingness to assist. However, I found the rooms to be quite outdated and in need of refurbishment, which was disappointing for a Hilton hotel.

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean but extremely shabby. I noticed scuffed walls, stained carpets, and outdated bathroom fixtures, which all contributed to a less-than-ideal experience.
Service
5.0
Service varied during my visit. While some staff were friendly and helpful, I encountered moments of rudeness that were frankly unexpected in a Hilton setting.
Location
5.0
The hotel is conveniently located near the motorway and Leicester city center. However, the exterior could use a refresh to match the surrounding area.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast offered a decent range of options, which I appreciated. The restaurant had good quality meals, and the presentation was appealing. Overall, a positive dining experience.
Facilities
5.0
The gym and pool were highlights of my stay. However, I found the indoor pool lacked heating, which was a bit disappointing for relaxation.

I had a pleasant experience overall at Hilton Leicester Hotel, though there were a few hiccups. While the staff was friendly and the location convenient, I did encounter some issues during my stay, especially with the breakfast serving. However, the afternoon tea was truly a highlight.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were comfortable but a bit tired. I did appreciate the cleanliness, but the general upkeep seemed to need some attention.
Service
8.0
Most of the staff, like Tim and Beth, were exceptionally friendly and attentive, which really added to my experience. However, I did face challenges with the breakfast service on a couple of occasions, where it felt disorganized.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was great for accessing nearby attractions and the city center. It was also a nice and relaxing estate, which I enjoyed during my stay.
Dining
7.0
The afternoon tea was fantastic, offering great value with an array of delicious items. However, breakfast service was inconsistent, and the wait times were frustrating.
Facilities
7.0
The pool and leisure facilities were good, though I found the swimming pool's family slots a bit restrictive for my plans.
